In order to obtainin my Graphic Design certificate, I've had to learn and practice the steps of design thinking, how to apply them to my work, and finally execute them with my own personal style. This is a collection of some of my favorite works I've made in my process so far.
Perfect Swan
I Co-Creative Directed, modeled and copy edited this project for our University's student magazine called "The Issue." For this issue, the theme was titled Dystopian Now, which aimed to visually encompass the current culture in our society and it's similar characteristics to dystopian themes that we as a society originally never thought we would reach. In this section, I will discuss my role as Co-Creative director.

K-b Magazine Concept

For this piece, I wanted to create my partner and I a special gift for our six month anniversary together. I've always found inspiration in Japanese pop-culture magazines from the early 2000s and wanted to create a magazine cover influenced by that style as an homage to how we met through a fashion magazine on campus. Using photoshop, I played around with color palettes and different shapes to create almost a collage-like layout. Using reticulation and color gradient overlay, I was able to create a stylish, vintage look to my partner and I on in the center, creating a mixture of textures.

Graphite on paper
For this piece, I wanted to practice my anatomy, figure composition and fabrics. Using a range of graphite pencils on multimedia paper, I was able to play with different amounts of contrast to create depth to the piece and make it more life-like.
