Content Photoshoot for Pricked Piercing Skills used: Creative Direction, Project Management, Client Relations
November 2025
For a project with my fashion student organization, The Vault, local piercing shop Pricked Piercing reached out about a potential collaboration. Alongside my fellow Creative Team Leads, I developed and pitched a fashion-themed photoshoot featuring the shop’s jewelry, creating promotional content the owner could use for social media and in-store displays.
After securing the collaboration, I coordinated with local studio The Dot Spot to book the space and organize backdrops. I recruited photographers, stylists, and models from our creative committee, using Excel to assign roles and create a production schedule that coordinated everyone’s arrival and the jewelry fittings.
On set, I worked alongside two other Creative Team Leads to direct model posing, review styling choices, oversee the shots, and organize the studio into dedicated areas for wardrobe, jewelry fittings, and photography.
When scheduling conflicts arose, including a last-minute model cancellation and a photographer’s early departure, I adjusted the schedule, extended another model’s availability, and brought in an additional photographer to ensure we captured the necessary content.
Overall, the shoot successfully brought two local businesses together and delivered promotional content for Pricked Piercing. The experience strengthened my client relations, project management, and organizational skills. If I were to do it again, I would delegate more responsibilities among the creative leads to distribute the workload more effectively.
